Any tile i step on it just shoots poison spikes at me.

This puzzle involves stepping on the tiles in a specific order. Sure there were always bugs and or op nerfed stuff. The first puzzle in pillars of eternity 2 deadfire can be found in engwithan digsite m8 in arena sub level m9 this puzzle is called trial of flame. I tried casting spells of the element on certain tiles to no avail.

This will open the door and is the combination for this puzzle. I figured it out. You step on the tiles in the order depicted on the ground before the doorway to the room. Be sure that the pressure switches are being triggered and remember you cannot trigger switches diagonally only the adjacent ones.

You must follow the pattern located on the floor outside the puzzle room. The one with the two braziers you light them a door opens onto a room filled with fire. I can click any 2 of them in any combination but as soon as i click a third it just resets. I really have no idea what to do here and there are no tutorials yet with this being a brand new game.
